How many times do you ask your son or daughter to take the dog for a walk? Many people cave in to their children’s demands to get a dog. As part of their responsibility they are expected to take the dog for a daily walk. Unfortunately, if you live in a an urban area you not only have to convince your child to get out and take the dog but make certain that they clean-up after their pet. Create a pet lanyard. To do this you should buy yourself some custom lanyards that have either a pouch or a wallet. Once you have the lanyard you should get a number of disposable pet bags. You could also keep some plastic gloves in the pouch and some antiseptic hand wipes. If you get a pouch that is large enough you might want to throw in a few special treats for the dog.

Once you have this all put together be certain that you keep the prepared pouch in the same place where you keep the dog’s leash. Every time that your child goes out to walk the dog, the wallet and all of the necessary equipment will be right there for them to grab at the same time.

The lanyard is also a great quick traffic leash. If you do find yourself walking down the road and there is a lot pedestrian traffic, or bikes you can remove the lanyard and hook it through the dog’s collar. The short leash will keep the dog right at your side in what is traditionally known as the heel position. You and the dog can negotiate the traffic quickly and easily.
