Here a few ways that lanyards are being utilized:

Reunions…

Lanyards are a great addition to any reunion.  If you are helping to organize the event, you can have special cords designed for every guest. If it is a general school reunion, you might want to think about having the name of the school written along with the year of graduation. Family reunion lanyards can be made by including the family name and perhaps the date and location of the event.

Sporting Events…

Are you really a fan? Prove to everyone that you are by having a custom team lanyard designed. These unique lanyards can have both the name of the team and their logo placed on them. Remember that you can have these cords made up for both professional and amateur teams. If you really want to go all out, you can even get an attachment that will hold your hand clapper or noise maker.

As an Athlete…

Whether you are a professional athlete or an amateur, you should wear a lanyard. One of the best ways to use the cord is as a drink holder. Both plastic water bottles and refillable bottles can be carried on a cord. Lanyards also offer a great place to keep your keys if you do not have pockets. Moreover, if need be, you can use a neck pouch to hold your wallet.

Teams…

If you are a member of any kind of team or you are part of the coaching staff, you can create cords for everyone. ID lanyards make getting into secure areas fast and easy. They also allow security personnel to know which team is which.

Schools…

The lanyard is being used by schools everywhere that want to increase their security. Schools are having customized lanyards made for all of their staff and students. They often design them using the school’s colors and have either the name of the facility written on or an inspirational message.

Companies…

Companies use lanyards as a way of identifying their staff.  When implementing this system, companies often have the name of their company placed on the cord along with their contact information. Alternatively, cords are used by businesses to carry and display their staff’s ID cards.

On Vacation…

Lanyards make the perfect place to carry all of your daily medication. They offer a safe and secure way to ensure that you have everything right at hand. This is especially useful if need to carry items like inhalers or Epi-Pens.

Conventions…

How are you going to recognize all of the various people at the event? Simple, hand out color coded lanyards to each person. You can use a straightforward system whereby paying guests wear one color and vendors another. Another great thing about this system is the fact that it can be expanded to include security staff, VIPs the media etc.

Camping…

When you head off to the woods, you are going to want to have some kind of light. A light becomes essential if you want to be able to move around anywhere after the sun sets. Carrying a flashlight or a small lantern on a cord virtually eliminates the chance of it being lost or misplaced. This strategy works especially well with young children.

Business Promotions…

Want to give your business a boost. Create promotional lanyards. These handy items are products that people will wear almost anywhere. And this means that they will give the name and logo of your company lots of exposure.
